What we say
The lads had heard that Jet’s pizza crust is among the best you can eat, so we just had to try one. We went for the 8 corner pizza Super Special and it looked mighty nice and the topping to base ratio was good and to the edge toppings, with an aroma that got our mouths watering.
The base was thicker than most with a crisp buttery outer that had almost caramelized and light and airy dough inside. The base was coated with a good helping of Jet’s famous pizza sauce with its vine ripened tomato with a hint of oregano. Premium mozzarella cheese is used in a reasonably thick layer and its stringiness was awesome. The pepperoni was decent , nice and peppery, but pretty greasy. Ham is just the standard processed variety, okay but not outstanding.
The mushrooms were passable but we didn’t believe they were freshly cut. It was finished off with some small chunks of onions & green peppers, once again perhaps prepacked. All in all a nice pizza and the whole was better than the parts, the dough base was a real winner with the combination of crispness and with a buttery flavor, it was slightly greasy on top but very satisfying and we would eat this again.
